Kerala TET Syllabus / K-TET Category I Syllabus 2024 / K-TET Category II Syllabus 2024 / K-TET Category III Syllabus 2024 / K-TET Category IV Syllabus 2024 – Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test :

Kerala TET 2024 Syllabus

Kerala TET will annually conduct by Govt. of Kerala. A lot of Candidates will take this exam for weighting recruitment in teacher. Andhra Pradesh TET will take in two parts.

(i) Paper I (Class – I to V) – Lower Primary Classes

There shall be only one paper. All questions will be short type Questions, One question carrying one mark with four alternatives. The total number of questions for this test is 150 and time duration is two and half hour.


Paper I – Structure and Content (All Compulsory)

Child Development and Pedagogy                         30 MCQs      30 Marks Language I (Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada)            30 MCQs      30 Marks Language II (English / Arabic)                                 30 MCQs      30 Marks

Mathematics                                                             30 MCQs      30 Marks

Environmental Studies                                              30 MCQs      30 Marks

Child Development and Pedagogy : The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will point on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Language I (Hindi) : Point on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.

Language II (English) : Point on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

Mathematics & Environmental Studies : Point on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects.

(ii) Paper II (Class –VI to VII) – Upper Primary Classes

There shall be only one paper. All questions will be short type Questions, One question carrying one mark with four alternatives. The total number of questions for this test is 150 and time duration is two and half hour.

Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory)           30 MCQs      30 Marks

Language I (Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada / English)      30 MCQs      30 Marks

Language II (Malayalam / English)                                   30 MCQs      30 Marks

*For Mathematics and Science Teacher                            60 MCQs      60 Marks

*For Social Studies teacher:                                               60 MCQs      60 Marks

*Science & Mathematics sectors questions pattern will furnish below –

Child Development and Pedagogy : The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will point on educational psychology of teaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Language I (Hindi) : Point on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.

Language II (English) : Point on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.

Mathematics and Science : Basically, Questions will be related to how to ensure the successful transfer of learning and the understanding of the use of different methods in different classroom situations.

Social Studies : Through this paper, knowledge of their surroundings, their skills to develop the understanding of various current issues and their applicability and how to make better use of available resources will be tested.

(iii) Category III (Class –VIII to X) – High School Classes

There shall be only one paper. All questions will be short type Questions, One question carrying one mark with four alternatives. The total number of questions for this test is 150 and time duration is two and half hour.

Category III – Structure and Content

Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning & Teaching Aptitude 40 MCQs      40 Marks

 

Language (Malayalam / English / Tamil / Kannada)     30 MCQs      30 Marks

Subject specific areas (Content & Pedagogy)               80MCQs      80 Marks

Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude : The test items on Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude will point on the educational psychology, principles and approaches of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 13-17 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Language (Malayalam / English / Tamil / Kannada) : Point on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.

Subject specific areas (Content & Pedagogy) : This section will point on the pedagogical understanding, concepts and ideas of the relevant subjects.

(iv) Category IV

There shall be only one paper. All questions will be short type Questions, One question carrying one mark with four alternatives. The total number of questions for this test is 150 and time duration is two and half hour.

Category IV – Structure and Content

Child Development, Pedagogy & Teacher Aptitude          30 MCQs      30 Marks

Language (Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada / English)           40 MCQs      30 Marks

Subject specific areas (Content & Pedagogy)                     80 MCQs      30 Marks
