DLED NIOS (dled.nios.ac.in)

D.El.Ed: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme is a course for inservice untrained teachers working in Lower Primary Or Upper Primary schools of different states of the country.

D.El.Ed. course has been developed by the Academic Department, NIOS on the initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, keeping in view the NCF 2005, RTE 2009 and NCFTE 2010. The main aim of this course is to capable the teacher the right way of teaching the students.

The objectives of the Programme are to:

Enable teachers to understand and address diversity in their context.

Empower them to improve quality of classroom processes/transaction.

Develop capacity in them to promote child friendly, child cantered processes in school.

Familiarize them with appropriate teaching learning processes.

Facilitate them to develop leadership & problem solving skills among children.

Sensitize them to contribute towards safeguarding child rights.

Eligibility Criteria For D.El.Ed. Course:

Untrained Teachers working at Primary school (Class I – V) having 10+2 Passed (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates a relaxation of 5% marks admissible).

Untrained Teachers working at Upper Primary School (VI to VIII) having B.A./B. Sc. Qualification.

Duration Of This Course:

The Minimum duration of the programme is two years (2 Years).
