As per NCTE All post graduates (i.e. Graduate/ Post Graduate/ B.A. etc. with B.T / B. Ed.) are eligible to take the test. The candidate after satisfying about the eligibility criteria for Assam Secondary TET can apply through Online.
Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Secondary Education, Assam 2024
The Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Secondary Education, Assam shall be conducted annually or as decided by Government according to need.
To qualify in TET Examination the candidate must get sixty percent marks for general category whoever in case of SC / ST / OBC / MOBC / Physically handicapped category it is fifty five percent.

Secondary TET Assam 2021 Eligibility Criteria Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Secondary Education, Assam
The minimum eligibility criteria for Post-Graduate Teachers in Secondary Or Senior Secondary Schools as given below :
Masters degree (MA/M.Sc./M.Com) with minimum 50% marks in relevant subject with B.T./B.Ed degree from any recognized University.
Eligibility Criteria & Condition for Assam Secondary TET 2022 –
- The student / candidate must be a Citizen of India.
- For Graduate Teacher: Graduate/ Post Graduate from recognized university atleast 50% marks either in Graduation or in post graduation and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from NCTE recognized school.
- For Hindi Teacher: Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks and degree qualification with 50% marks or Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks Or BA with 50% marks and having Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks or postgraduate degree in Arts with 50% marks And BT/B.Ed degree is mandatory.
- For Classical Teacher (Arabic, Sanskrit, Urdu, Persian etc): MM with 50% marks/ 50% marks in the concerned subject and degree qualification with 50% marks or post graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks BA with 50% marks having Arabic as one of the subject with 50% marks or Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks And BT/ B.Ed degree is mandatory.
- For Classical Teacher (Assamese Language, Manipuri Language):- B.A with Honours/ Major in concerned subject with 50% marks and BT/ B.Ed degree is mandatory.
- Minimum Age 21 years.
Note: Degrees from Off Campus and distance education institution shall not be considered as valid.
All intending candidates may note that B.T / B. Ed. Degree as a mandatory prerequisite eligibility qualification for Secondary teachers stands relaxed up to 01/01/2015 in accordance with the Government Office Memorandum No ASE.324/2009/138 Dated 13th September 2012 issued by the Government of Assam in Secondary Education Department and accordingly candidates who do not possess B.T / B.Ed. Degree may also appear in the TET for Secondary Education and participate in the interview if they come successfully in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test.
Note: Qualifying the Secondary TET, Assam would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment/ Employment as it is only one of eligibility criteria for appointment.
Secondary TET Assam 2022 Exam Pattern
The TET conducted by the Secondary Schools in Assam Or respective examination board as directed by the Government of Assam. The Exam pattern for this test will furnish below –
All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions.
One questions carrying one mark.
Total Marks for the exam is about 200.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers..
Secondary TET Assam 2022 Exam Syllabus
There will be two parts of Assam High School TET
(i) Part 1 (Total Marks 100, 50 MCQs from General Studies & Current Affairs and 50 Bengali subject for Bengali Medium TET/
Hindi subject for Hindi medium TET/Manipuri subject for Manipuri medium TET/ Assamese subject for Assamese medium TET / Bodo subject for Bodo medium TET.
(ii) Part II: Pedagogy & General English (Total 100 MCQs each questions 1 marks).
Assam High School TET (Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Secondary Education, Assam) Qualifying Marks
A candidate who scores 60% or more in the TET examination will be considered as TET pass.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST / SEBC / OBC / Physically Handicapped securing scores 55% may be considered as TET pass.
In accordance with NCTE Guidelines Assam High School TET Certificate shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of TET examination.
Note: Assam High School TET Should give weightage to the Assam TET scores in the recruitment process.

- Candidates can apply the online application form for Assam High School TET.
- Apply Online for Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Secondary Education, Assam Online Form.
- Give all required details.
- Paste photo and sign in JPEG(jpeg) or JPG (jpg) format not exceeding 35 KB and 30 KB respectively in size and then submit the form.
- After successfully of Online Application Form, he/she have to take print out of online SBI Bank Challan and deposit Fee (mention at the official Advertisement & Instruction Manual for Secondary TET) at any Branch of State Bank of India from 2nd working day onwards, from the date of submission of online application form.
